First draft in response to philosophy challenge…

On balance

Reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language?
Feet in brogues, a mile to walk before salt porridge breakfast.

Love of wisdom?
Crumpets, ice cream, kiss-me-quick, midnight on the pier, a little of what you fancy.

Epistemology, logic, metaphysics, ethics, and aesthetics?
Feathers in the gut: where’s the page, where’s the page, where’s the bloody page?

Relationships between truth, belief, and theories of justification?
You did it, he did it, she did it, we did it, yous all did it, they did it; it wasn’t me.

Skepticism is the position which questions the possibility of completely justifying any truth;
anyone fancy a pint?

  2. Apart from couplet 2 and the final couplet… oh, just read Fiona’s comment again and realised I was going to say exactly the same thing in different words… I wonder if you reversed the lines the poem would become even more intriguing?
